Calixto Mexican Grill brings an authentic, food truck-like experience to our customers. Enrique Aquino, Calixto owner, has over 20 years of experience working in restaurants and food trucks, and is excited to have his own brick-and-mortar restaurant. We hope foodies enjoy Calixto’s casual setting and affordable authentic Mexican menu. Some o four favorites include the tres leches cake, tamales, street tacos, and quesabirria. Staff at Calixto make everything fresh daily, down to the salsa and tortillas. Cooking was a huge part of Enrique’s life growing up. “Cooking is kind of the one thing everybody gets taught growing up. I’m one of eight kids and I’m one of the oldest, so you had to know how to cook so you could help take care of the little ones,” he said.
“This area is in need of some real, authentic Mexican food,” says Enrique. “We want to be the neighborhood Mexican spot.”
